Players are required to strategically and quickly manage their Economy, Technology and Army in order to defeat their opponent. The beta started and the game was released respectively. At BlizzCon 2018 Blizzard announced Warcraft III: Reforged. When Blizzard released Patch 1.29.0 that included balance changes for heroes, 16:9 widescreen support and updates to the map pools, hopes grew hat Warcraft III would be the next classic game to be remastered after Starcraft: Broodwar.

The game continues with the Human and Orc races from the earlier installments, but also introduces two new races, Night Elf and Undead. It is split into two parts the base game subtitled Reign of Chaos, and the expansion, The Frozen Throne. Warcraft III is the third game in Blizzard’s Warcraft-franchise.
